WCAI – The Point with Mindy Todd
On February 8, 2014 Cape Cod Village founder and board member Lauren Jones and CCV housing consultant Gisele Gauthier were joined by Leslie Long, Director of Adult Services at Autism Speaks and Catherine Boyle, President of Autism Housing Pathways (AHP) for a discussion entitled Adults with Autism Face Challenges Finding Housing and Work.
In January, Cape Cod Village held its first board retreat at St. Christopher’s Church in Chatham, MA. A second retreat was held in February. Both were facilitated by Peggy Holtman, www.margaretholtman.com.
Autism & Authors: Autism’s Effect on Families
On August 12, 2013 at the Craigville Retreat Center in Centerville, MA, Cape Cod Village hosted authors Lisa Genova, PhD, Love Anthony, Arthur Fleischmann, MBA, Carly’s Voice: Breaking Through Autism, and Susan Senator, Making Peace with Autism; The Autism Mom’s Survival Guide. The event was moderated by Mindy Todd, host and editor of The Point on WCAI and the guests were entertained by the Boston Higashi School jazz band, comprised of students and alumni who all have an autism diagnosis.
