Cape Cod Village Executive Assistant Maggie Andrews, Board Vice President Chris Raber and Housing Consultant Gisele Gauthier admire the newly created access driveway from Childs Homestead Road to the future home of Cape Cod Village.
In the November 16th edition of The Cape Cod Times, Cape Cod Village was featured in an article regarding funding from the Department of Developmental Services (DDS). Cape Cod Village is committed to constructing housing for 16 adults on the autism spectrum in the heart of the Town of Orleans. In addition, there will be a commons building dedicated to serving the needs of the larger autism community, as well as residents of the Village. The project will be developed in two phases. The first phase will be the construction of a duplex unit housing eight adults. The second phase will include the construction of a second duplex housing eight adults and the commons building. Should DDS fail to provide funding for services for residents of the second duplex, additional affordable housing units for the general population will be developed.
